My how time flies...

Ok first, the good news...

My dear friend Amanda is going to have a baby!

Anyways, Amanda and I go way back to the first time I staffed Mission Adventures the summer of '98. I taught tambourines and she came through as a camper and was one of my "tambo girls". Fast forward a year to the fall of '99 when I decided to do my DTS...I am sitting in the eating area and this girl walks up and screams..."tambourine lady!" We were going to be students together! We became fast friends along with our dear Melissa and were pretty inseparable through the school. We then did SOMD together, dated best friends (my Matt and her Kevin), spent the summer apart and then returned to staff DTS together and be roomies! We shared laughter, tears, boyfriend troubles, and DTS issues. When I got engaged and left to plan the wedding we split for the first time. Oh, she was in my wedding but after that we never saw them. We kept in touch through random phone calls and little visits as her and Kevin drove through LA, and at their wedding but it was never enough.

Well, to end a long and probably boring story, Kevin and Amanda now live in Springs! Kevin is here to attend Fuller Seminary and we are LOVING being together again. It is funny because when we said good-bye each time we saw each other we always knew we would be close again. Amanda is the one person who probably knows the most about me...all my dark secrets, flaws, joys, strengths, weaknesses...and she still loves me! The even better part is that Matt and Kevin are just as close. We have the best time when we get together and it is priceless to have friends that you can trust with anything. Needless to say we are very excited that they are going to have a baby as it has been a long time trying, battling small fears that there could be something wrong.

All this to say...in about two weeks will be the time I would need to get pregnant to keep my kids the same distance apart.

Anna was 19 months when Libby was conceived. This small fact has freaked me out! Am I ready to be pregnant again? NO WAY! It is crazy how your life changes as you add kids to the family, and school, and life, and...uh uh. Not happening. Amanda is begging me to join her because she says she always wanted to be pregnant with a friend...well, I told her to find a new friend! I love her, but not that much. So in case anyone had a wandering curiosity about the enlargement of my family, fear not. We are staying at 4 for a while...and are we ever going to be 5 you wonder? Well, God only knows because He is gonna have to do some slick convincing to get this girl to voluntarily puke her guts out for four months!
