Long, Lost Blogger

Yes, I know...long time no blog. Well, much has happened in the past three weeks. Where to start...oh yes, let us begin with the Friday before Christmas when our computer went bust. Yup...our brand new, one-year old computer's hard drive decided to die. After hours on the phone with Mac support and a visit to the Mac store I was able to get the important information transferred to our old computer and take this one in for a new hard drive...I am so glad we purchased Apple Care!! And trust me, that is the super short version of that issue. Lesson learned: When old external hard drive that you use to back-up all of your important information dies...purchase new one instantly even if you can't afford it.

Next of course was Christmas which we spent on an airplane! The four of us celebrated Christmas the evening of the 23rd, spent Christmas Eve un-decorating, and flew to Pennsylvania at 5:00 pm Christmas day. We got to visit family and friends for 10 days and had a fabulous time. Matt was attached to Mark, Nat, and Merle at the hip so us moms/wives tagged along with the kiddos. It was good to see everyone and have some down time. Needless to say it has been an interesting year and it was good to forget about life for a while. And that entire time I was there I only took 4 pictures...yes 4. That is how much I hate my camera, but we can talk about that later. So for your viewing pleasure...

Nat, Salena, Mark and Matt playing Settlers...many hours have been spent playing this game!

The boys

The girls...and yes, my hair has some blond and red in it, courtesy of Salena, but you can't really see it in this picture. It is a fun change though!

And so now we are home. Back to school (me and Anna), work, life, friends and hopefully many lovely things to blog about! I have some goals for 2009 so maybe you will get to hear about those, but for now I need to sleep so I can spend all day tomorrow writing a paper about Salonga Rain Forest in Congo. What does that have to do with Accounting, you ask? Absolutely nothing...which is why associate degrees suck...general ed. classes.

So it's back to life! It was really good to see you and catch up! I hope your girls are feeling better as well.

We are getting back into the swing of things. We started working on the family room. Yeah, dust from sanding and drywalling!! It will be very nice though when it's done.

Take care!
