Moving Update

Ok, here is the news in the moving department. I heard back from our landlord with a couple of options and after talking with Matt and my parents, chose the lesser of the evils! We are going to move at the end of February and the landlord will just keep our deposit for March's rent. This is fine with us because we did sign a contract and don't want to look like sneaky contract-breakers! Matt gets back here on the 19th (15 sleeps!!), we'll get the truck around the 24th, pack and clean, and he'll leave on the 26th. The girls and I will probably fly out on the 27th so I can be here to do the final walk-through with the landlord.

On the other end, we have lucked out a bit on our rental plans. We realized we would need a fat chunk of cash to put down a new deposit, first month's rent, plus moving expenses to go right into a new place. Some friends of ours are going to Africa for a month right when we are going to PA so we are going to stay in their place through March and give ourselves time to save and find a place.

My parents are coming next weekend so I'm counting the sleeps until that too...8!! We are doing good, although today is NOT good and I'm watching the clock for bedtime, even though they just got up from naps!! I have a babysitter tomorrow for a few hours so I think I shall walk around the mall and just stare...or maybe sit in Starbucks with a latte and just stare...sounds lovely.

Glad to hear that things are starting to come together. Some how you guys will get through this time. I know at times it feels endless. All the unknown details, but look at what has been accomplished. I'm praying for you. So chins up and have fun enjoying those "free" hours alone!!

Love, Sheila

So yeah for a light at the end of the tunnel! Hang in there! Oh and hooray for parents visits. They are the best. And if it helps, I like to calculate things in terms of Mondays. For instance, there are only 14 Mondays until I set sail with the New Kids on the Block. There would only be 1 Monday until your parents come and 2 until your hubby returns (the smaller number just makes me happier!).
