Where I'm At...

Wow, what a slam the last few weeks have been. I'm looking at my little desk calendar for this week and it's practically empty! I can breathe this week! And this weekend...well, I'm sure you can guess what I'll be doing and I can't wait to get down there!

** Warning: Processing about to happen!**

And not only have we been physically busy, but God has been busy sticking His finger on some areas of my heart. I recently bought and started Beth Moore's Personal Reflection Study, Jesus: 90 Days With the One and Only. I'm only on Day 13 but man, from Day 1 God has been slowly getting into some stuff I didn't even realize was there. And it's good, but parts of it are hard to deal with. I even hesitate to share much because I'm not sure who all reads this and how some of you may take it. I have no problem telling you that Jesus is my main man and talking about Him freely here. I just don't want to get too deep and have some of you stop reading cause you think I'm nuts : ) Let's just say there are some things about my life that I've been assuming and in essence He's showing me that I've never been promised those things. On the other side of it, I think there is a door He is opening that I'm stoked about but will share more on that once I know for sure it's a go.

Here are some choice tidbits that Beth has written that have caught my spirit...
  • "Just when we decide He's too complicated to comprehend, He draws stick pictures." : ) Love that!
  • "Could a teenager have fathomed that she was to give birth to the Son who was the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being?" I don't think an adult could in today's world!
  • "Sometimes in the contrast of the night, we can best see the glory of God." So true!! But how we hate and fear the night!
  • "Women are like that, aren't they? We long to find someone who has been where we've been, who shares our fragile places, who sees our sunsets with the same shades of blue."One of my favs because I'm so very wired this way...I have a couple of these people and I hope you know who you are!
So that's enough blathering about for now. I'm in one of those moods where I could probably sit and type forever. Instead, I'll share this little video with you. We have started singing this song in church and it's rocking my world! This is one of those songs that can drive you to your knees with silent tears in utter awe and undeserved grace.

Have a great week!!
