Someone's having a birthday today and I thought it's about time I dedicate a post to the wonderfulness that is my husband. From the blog point of view Matt is kind of in the background. I don't talk about him much, but he shows up in a picture or random thought now and then. So babe, this is for you!

Matt Kauffman is...

Hard-working
Dedicated
Caring
Father of the Century
Supportive
A Servant
Generous
Friendly
Child-like (In a good way!)
Adventurous
Consistent
Committed to his Lord

I'm blessed to be able to share life with this man. I think I see a side of him that most people don't and I love that. He has such a good heart. His desire to walk with Jesus and take his family with him is encouraging and challenges me. What most people see and know is the fun-loving and sometimes pesky guy who's always out for a good time. Which I also love about him. He keeps me chilled out and  is always ready to make me smile, even when I don't want to. But below that is a man of deep character and strength. I've walked through some tough stuff with this guy and I'm blessed by his resilience and steadfastness.

I love his heart for our family. After a long day at work he is ALWAYS ready to play with the kids. Will comes charging to the door as soon as he hears him come home, and starts pointing and yelling to go outside because he knows daddy will take him. He will wrestle, ride scooters, play Sorry, and has watched his share of princess movies. He will load up the whole lot when I have work I need to do and take them out and about. They'll visit cousins, go to the park, hit up the coffee shop...whatever would be fun for them he's up for. On the flip side, he's always ready to guide and direct even if it's with some discipline. The girls adore him but also know they must obey and show respect.

As a husband, I couldn't ask for more. We'll be married 11 years next Saturday and it seems like such a small number for all that we have seen and done together. Lately, with the addition of my job and church stuff, he has stepped up to cover areas that I don't always have time to get accomplished. He stays at home with the kids when I have to be gone. He washes dishes when I need to work in the evenings. And thanks to his mom, the man can clean like a machine. And he enjoys it! If you know me at all you know what a major turn on plus that is! And here's a secret tid-bit for you...he's been watching Downton Abbey with me. Now that's love friends. : ) He makes a mean breakfast...pancakes from scratch even! Surprises me with trips to New York or the spa. Not to mention his handy-dandy carpenter skills. We've traveled the world over together and I'm excited to see where we head next in this crazy life!

**Note: Pictures are extremely random due to time crunch...

New York City for Mother's Day.

They love their daddy.

I'm in so much trouble for posting this...

Proud daddy of the newest Phillies fan and Jeep enthusiast
Always ready to clown around.

With what I refer to as his boyfriends...these three talk on the phone with each other almost daily.

Just a kid at heart.

Another one of our many adventures...Boston this time.
I don't remember who this is, but Matt was really excited. Go Phils!

Budddyyyyyyyyyyy...that's the only word necessary.
So love, on your birthday, I want to say thanks. I don't tell you this stuff as often as I should, but I mean every word. I love you and am so thankful that you love me as much as you do. I don't always deserve it but you never waver. I hope you have a wonderful birthday and that the next 35+ are even better than the first.
