Scrap Mania!

Oh my word, did I have the best time Saturday night! A friend of mine invited me to Scrap Mania at a store called Archivers...(oh yes Karisse, you should be jealous!) So Saturday night from 5:00 to 11:00 I got to scrap. You pay $15 and it includes a scrappy gift, dinner, dessert, a make-&-take, and a spot at a table to scrap your heart out. I got 7 pages done in one night. I have not scrapped that many pages at once since before I had kids. It was so nice to get away and just be creative...no school, kids, or other issues in my head...just pure scrappy happiness! The one downside...or maybe upside...is that when you need something you just get up and go stick it on your bill. I would look at my page and think...hmmm, some pretty ribbon would really perfect this page, and then I would get up and go buy it. I thought ahead of time and gave myself a cash budget for the evening or I know I would have went way overboard! And while I would love to give you a taste of what I worked on I can't...because it is a gift and I am thinking the recipient reads this from time to time and I don't want to ruin a good surprise. So, after it is presented maybe I can stick some pages up. Now I am addicted and would like to go at least once a month. It was good "me" time and that is hard to come by at times. I wonder if I have a free Saturday in July...
