Nothing Better

I happen to think that some of the best conversations I have ever had have always involved a cup of coffee. There is just something about sitting down with a friend or two, holding that steaming mug of coffee or tea, and diving in to discuss joys, fears, concerns, or just having a good laugh. I've cried over these cups of coffee and laughed so hard that I had to put said cup down for fear of spilling. Obviously it being summer and all it changes to either iced coffee or iced tea or lemonade...whatever your preference. But all of this to say that I think this may be partly to blame for my addiction...to mugs. Yes, I am addicted to mugs! I walk into Starbucks and head straight for them. They seriously have the best selection and it is always changing. One day, when I have a great place to display them all, I will give in to this addiction and just start buying them. For example, right now at the Bux they have these divine blue, summery mugs. There are two that I am in love with and I couldn't find a picture of them to post. I love them so much that I may just have to pick one and buy it. So here are a few pics of my mugs...

I got these a few years ago at Ross and I love them. They are HUGE! I will even eat soup out of them when the mood hits. Big mugs say, snowy day in a cabin on a mountain in my sweats...mmmm...

This is a set of three. There is a red one that my friend Allison has, the orange one is mine, and the green one belongs to my friend Heather. We bought these when we were staffing SOMD a few years ago and dubbed them our 'anti-stress at staff meeting' mugs. I have Heather's because she didn't want to lug it to Afghanistan but I will return it to her soon!

This is one of two mugs I got at Crate and Barrel. No special feelings I just loved the wide, fatness of them...and the color.

Matt bought me this mug just for fun...which makes it special!

There are more but they are not quite as fun as these. So now, if you are ever at a loss for a gift idea you have no more excuses ; ) Or, if you need to talk just call me up for a cuppa, I'd love to join you!

You just gotta love coffee mugs! And you have some cute ones! Merle's more of the coffee drinker and mug-lover in our family, but I love em too. The bigger the better!
