A Weekend in Delaware

We went to Matt's parents house in Delaware for the weekend...and it was lovely. While secretly Matt and I wanted to go alone seeing as we are desperate to get away, babysitting didn't work out so we took the kiddos along. I'm glad we did because they had a GREAT time! Riding on Papa's boat, playing at the beach, and just having mommy and daddy to themselves were the highlights of their weekend. It was nice to get away and forget about our ever-complicated lives. Here are some pics of the trip!

Going for a walk along the dock. His parents have a place in a quiet little community where everyone has a boat. It sits right on the bay and there is a pool to use when it gets warmer!

This is the view from the back patio. His dad docks his boat right there all summer and spends a lot of time fishing.


Getting ready to head out into the ocean with Papa's boat. He named it Anna Belle after Anna and her cousin Avery Belle. Grand kids #1 and #2. We'll have to find something else to name Libby...


It was a beautiful day...and yes, I know that is a horrid picture of me, but who cares. I was so happy to be in the sun (slathered with high spf of course Karisse) and on the water!




On Sunday we took the girls to the beach and they LOVED it! Libby was soaked in the first 10 minutes but couldn't care less...even though the water was freezing!


We will be going back quite a bit I think!
