S.O.S

Please help. I don't know what to do. Libby refuses to even acknowledge that the toilet is where she should be doing her business. I feel like I've tried it all: candy, new big-girl panties, letting her go naked, telling her she gets a big, new toy if she goes in the potty...none of it worked. Part of me thinks that maybe her little body just isn't ready, the other part of me doesn't understand the problem. We've been working on this since April and no improvement. She started out SO good and then relapsed. Now the frustrating part is that I am working and I can't just stay home with her for 3 days straight. I also can't pass the buck to my sitters, they have their own kids to deal with. So please help...send any advice you may have. I'm tired of buying Pull-Ups and for the sake of the budget I'm ready to buy a big pack of diapers.

On to something happy...I just got back from a girls weekend in Ohio. I went with my in-laws (mother and 2 sisters...Sara we missed you!) to the Country Living Fair. And while I don't think I'm a Country Living kind of girl I still loved having some quality female time with family. A couple of highlights were getting to eat at Chipotle and seeing Julie and Julia, which is my new favorite movie. LOVED IT! And, we got to go to World Market and I found the cutest plates to hang in my dining room...wanna see 'em?

And to add to it, they were 50% off! I love that store and the closest one is 2+ hours away in Baltimore...stink! It will be worth it making the trek every once in a while though.

Otherwise we are busy busy...Anna loves school, I'm really enjoying my job, Libby is getting funnier every day, and Matt is looking to take on a bit of a different role at work. I promise to update more but sometimes I feel like I write about the same thing over and over. Hopefully soon I'll be updating on my newest crafty-type project that I'm pumped about.

I have no advice except to keep trying. She will come around. Claire is in panties during the day but diapers at naps and night-time, with no end in sight. She also prefers to run around naked after she uses the potty, which is fine in the comfort of our home but not so much at preschool!

Also, if by "about the same thing over and over" you mean blogging about your cute family, DON'T STOP! I love reading about what you guys are up to!

Any advice I have would be negated by the fact that my child (who is THREE, by the way) exhibits the following: 1. pees in his underwear frequently, then tries to hide the evidence, usually in the garage, 2. would rather poop outside in the grass like the dogs than actually on the toilet, and 3. insists that big boys "sometimes use the potty, and sometimes they don't." If you find the magic token/weapon (I'm up for either), let me know.

I don't have any advise either I'm sorry. The naked thing has worked for us. We went naked for 2 weeks. BUT I was able to stay home with her. -- If there is a 3 day weekend you will be home, maybe try that. We also do the M&M thing. But I know you've tried it all. Pete and Kizzy are in the same boat with Asher. He's 3 next week and refuses.
I'm sorry.
I'll be praying.

They are all so different, I don't think anything is fool proof. We just potty trained Gabe last month before he turned 3. How old is she?
I finally had to make some time in our schedule to be VIGILANT with the potty training. I kept him in underwear, set a timer and went into the bathroom at least every hour with him. He was almost 3 when I started with him, so he was giving the signs. It was totally different experience than with my daughter. I potty trained her right when she turned two. and although she caught on, she still today will have the occasional accident. I just think i pushed it too soon.

Don't know if any of this helps, but just wanted you to know we all are there or have been there.
