I know what a lot of people were doing 9 months ago...
I know 6, yes 6, people who had babies this week. 6 people in one week. I'm still in shock. Was there a memo I missed about what I should have been doing with my husband last May? (Sorry dad)
Two of them were old high school buddies, two were YWAM friends, one was a Colorado small group friend, and the other is the wife of a guy I worked with at M&T Bank when I lived here 5 years ago.
And to add to that, another CO friend had a baby about a month ago, my newest niece was born a month ago, and I'm almost positive there is one more but I can't keep them all straight!!!
And, looking at all the pictures of these new, precious, perfect, little God-ordained lives is starting to crack at the shell I formed around my uterus (sorry again). Dare I venture into that world again? Sweet baby lips. Sweet baby toes. Sweet baby milky, content, sleepy, grins.
Ahhhh!!!!! Stop!! Think of the sleepless nights, the pain, the vomiting, the stretch marks (oh wait, I already have a freakin' load of those), the mountain of diapers and poop up the back! Must. Reconstruct. The. Wall.
Whew...ok, I think I'm ok for now. Good thing all of those precious, little, bodies live far away. Brandon & Rachel, stay away.

Must have been a cold snap or a lot of rain last May! And ya know, you could scrap the "poop up the back" from the cons list if you used cloth ;> Just teasing! But I agree. Baby fever, stay away!

and for serious... i know a butt load of people who've had a babe in the last few weeks or so. and another wave of engagements has past again... about 4 in the last week.

Don't worry. It's not contagious. We'll stay in Kinzers, just in case, though.
