Overload

Are you ready for a lot of information? Because I have a plethora of things to talk about. I'm going to give you the quick catch-up so I can move on to the processing that is going on. Think gifting, purpose, comparisons, etc...

But first the fun stuff...

I turned 30 in April, and here is the setting for my surprise party,

and I didn't even blog about it. 30 is supposed to be a big deal, but it just kind of slipped past. I loved my little surprise party that Aimee threw, it was so nice to get loved on by friends. And let me tell you about Aimee. She just got featured on The Lettered Cottage yesterday. That's big stuff in the house decorating world. She's uber talented and kind of makes me feel uber-untalented sometimes (most times). But check her out...she'll be famous someday. Maybe on HGTV. Moving on.

We have weekly family dinners with Matt's crew and I L.O.V.E it. Partly because I don't have to cook that night but mostly because it is fun to get together and catch up. Sometimes we play, sometimes we work. Here is Matt and his dad (Ben) splitting logs from a big tree they cut down in their yard.

That would be a log splitter they are using. I never heard of such a thing. Where I come from men use axes and their strong arms to split logs. Just sayin'...

Here are the girls...
Thanks to Papa Mark we now have to stand on the big red balls everytime we go to Target. Good thing it is like 25 minutes away.

And here is Miss Libby...

She is addicted to this fairy dress and every time we are at Mark & Mary's she puts it on. Then proceeds to play the night away.

Then Karisse came to play!!

We love Beese. We painted, and watched Glee, and talked about blogs, and Jesus, and trafficking, and everything. And went looking at Amish. And now she is moving to Portland which is driving distance from my Idaho home. Hurrah!! But I still miss her way too much.

Are you still with me? We have a little way to go yet!!

Libby, Anna, Avery, Jack...

Found after Jack's nap. These cousins are so into each other. They are going to be the best of friends!

And here is Miss I-can-do-anything-you-can...

helping daddy mulch.

And yes, you knew it was coming. The Beach!!

We've been twice already and have a whole summer in front of us. Oh, the peace. The rest. I don't know what it is about that place, but I breathe better there.

And there is a little catch-up fun. Anna has 11 days of school left, and today she gets to experience a bit of first grade, or being a lunch-eater as she calls it. It has gone so fast, but I'm so ready to not have to pick her up from school everyday. These kiddos are growing up!!

And now to pack and get ready for a great three-day weekend. I wonder what we'll be doing...
