Treasures Found

So, I thought I'd share some of my yard sale finds from the summer so far. And the best part...it's only June!!! Granted, here in Lancaster Co. yard-saleing is an Olympic event and sales have been going on since the end of April. And they start early...like I'm up at 6:30 and out the door by 6:45 but only because I refuse to get up any earlier. The intense ones are out at 6:00!

This is what I scored at my first yard sale of the season...


A Freezer!! I had been looking for one for a year, since we moved here. I found a couple at sales last summer but they were always around $100...too much!! This bad boy was a smashing $35 bucks!! I was so excited. I drove straight home and woke Matt to tell him he had to get up and go get my freezer. He wasn't impressed. And now it is starting to fill up with homemade jam to be joined soon by applesauce, peaches, and corn!!



I also found two of these lamps that I put in our bedroom...price tag, $1.00! Please ignore the jewelry sitting there...I'm on the lookout for something to do with that.


The shades match our duvet perfectly and I finally like walking into my bedroom. A little color and a mirror on the wall can do wonders!

I found this little chair for a couple of bucks, and well, Aimee wanted to steal it from me. But I wouldn't let her. I got the plant stand at a sale down at the beach last summer. This is our main door so it is fun to have some character to greet people.



I just found this last Saturday and I LOVE it! I love the Asian feel and it looks so great in my dining room. I haven't decided if I should paint it. It would look cute white or black...but I'm not sure.

This is my $8 find, and after Matt fixes the drawers and I paint it, we'll get some new hardware. But you'll just have to wait to see how it turns out! I'm super excited to spiff it up! Hopefully I don't screw it up.
