Where Does the Time Go?

We have a graduate in the house! Well, a pre-school/Pre-K graduate but it counts in her eyes! They had a little program and ceremony for her class on Thursday night. I love when little kids sing. They crack me up with their enthusiasm.

Can you find her in there? And look for the little guy in the vest and tie...that would be her, ahem, 'boyfriend'. Oh dear. Pray for me. : )

Libby and cousin Avery
Avery Belle decided to come with us that night. We were having family dinner at Merle & Aimee's and our family loaded up early to go to Libby's program. It wasn't until we got to the school and opened the side door to let Anna out that I discovered a stowaway hiding in the back of the van! Libby had told Avery to sneak in and come with us. These two may look innocent enough, but watch out!

Libby and Darci
This is Libby and her pal Darci. Darci's mom is the one who babysat the girls when I worked at Zimmerman's Roofing. So these two have been fast friends since then. It's funny to think that when we first met them Libby was barely potty-trained and Darci called her "Wibby"! It's a bummer they will go to different elementary schools next year, but they go to our church so these two will still get to hang out together.

I now have two kids in elementary school. Come fall both my girls will be big kids. Gosh, that's crazy! Libby will only go half a day but she'll still be on the bus and experiencing all of what being in school means. She'll be great though. She's such a social girl that I can't imagine having kept her home this past year. She would have been bored out of her mind. Even waiting the next 8 days for Anna to be out is going to be a test of my patience!

But for now I'm going to enjoy a summer of having all 3 kiddos home...of VBS, and swimming lessons, and summer camp. Of sun, sprinklers, and popsicles. Of dirt, fireflies, and nightly baths. Of going to the beach and a mini-vacation or two. So that come August we'll be ready for school to start again! A 3rd grader and a kindergarten girl. Instead of wishing for it to slow down, I'll just go with it! Besides, I've still got a busy little boy to chase around!

I am testing out google reader and am annoyed that I can't leave a comment right there. Also, google reader already had a list of blogs I read. That freaked me out since I never signed up for google reader. Also, Libby has a good eye for boys. :)
