Daddy wasn't quite convinced...thinks she's growing up too fast.
But I think when she told him, "I've been dreaming of this for years and now my dream came true!" he decided it was worth it.
Teeth are growing in, ears are pierced, birthday gifts consist of nail polish, jewelry, a diary, & gift card to Olive Garden, she's going to church camp for 4 sleeps without mommy and daddy: I think it's safe to say that she's becoming a young lady.
Which part of me loves. I love some of our conversations. She's so full of questions, some I can't always answer. She has her daddy's sense of humor (help me) and my tender heart. She's becoming her own person. But part of me misses that little, lispy 3 year old who just wanted to be read to. Before I know it she'll be 10, then 13 and well, it's just going really fast.
So here's to you sweet girl. I love you bunches even though you think I "always yell at you". I pray we'll be bestest friends some day. But until then I'll do my best to guide you, cheer you on, and let you go when it's time.

Anna Banana is growing up beautifully with amazing parents that love her and guide her! Seriously time is going by so fast these days!! What's happening! We're not seeing each other is what's happening! Sigh. Our paths WILL cross again, they will.
