Playing Catch-Up

Bags are flying through my sewing machine like a whirlwind which is why I've been an absent blogger. We are heading into the last few weeks of summer and trying to cram in a few more fun things. A friend recently mentioned how close the start of school is (19 days!) and all I could think was, "I didn't even know vacation had started!" Part of me feels bad that we haven't done as much fun stuff this summer, but I realize that one summer of little bits of fun won't mar the memories of my kids' childhood. They'll remember the good times, just as I do, and probably won't remember the summer that all mom did was work. We still have a bit of swimming, hopefully one camping trip, school shopping, and a couple of sleepovers left. Oh, and Anna is going to church camp next week. ALL week. Like, Monday thru Friday. Not sure how that's going to feel, driving away from camp with my little 8 year old bravely embarking on a new adventure. I'll be sure to let you know!

So, here are just a few pictures of what's been happening...
Windy beach weekend

He loves being in the backpack with daddy.

"Now, how can I get into that water for a swim?"

His front teeth kill me!

Always a cheese ball.

Pool time in the backyard.

He has to do what everyone else is doing!

We went out with friends to a tapas restaurant for Matt's 35th. The food was phenomenal, as was the company!

Will's first ride in Mark's airplane. He was pretty excited.

Who knows? Next post may be first day of school pictures!
